Almost there!

Well, we made it to Lima. The area church office building, which covers 5 countries is here. James needed to take care of some things there- then we were whisked off to Interpol to finalize our visas. That was an interesting experience. They had a dentist look at our teeth just in case we needed to be identified... And our finger prints weren't enough.... Ew. (Jill- don't worry, that will never be necessary. We promise.) we finished the day out shopping for our new bed and lots of bedding. Shopping here is nuts! If I were rich, I would've cleaned house yesterday! I suppose it's like shopping in any city with a population of over 9 million. I'm just a country bumpkin-So I'm easily impressed- if you can't find it at target, walmart, or big R it probably doesn't exsist, right? It has for sure been a culture shock! Driving from the airport last night we passed many buildings that looked bombed out- but they all had laundry hanging on cloths lines. The traffic is thick and the people are very kind. We hope to investigate the city a little more between conference sessions today. If not, we'll be back in a few weeks for our resident cards. I look forward to seeing what this crazy city has to offer- more excited to meet our new home in Trujillo!
